Tail-Gator
Tail-Gator has one product. And it is excellent! The Tail-Gator bike rack is designed to fit directly onto the tailgate of any size pickup truck, but also leaves the truck’s bed free for transporting other cargo. You lose absolutely none of your truck’s cargo space while safely transporting two bikes on the outside of your tailgate.
Nobody should have to lay bikes flat in the back of a pickup truck. All that does is lead to dents and scratches in the frame and a possible popped spoke when you hit a big bump. Tail-Gator designed its unique pickup truck bike rack with convenience in mind, because it is actually easier to mount bikes on this bike rack than it is to lift them up into the bed of a pickup truck. Similar to a trunk mounted bike rack that goes on cars, the Tail-Gator has a strap design that keeps it securely held in place, but it amazingly leaves your truck bed completely clear. It doesn’t even interfere if you want to use a shell or cover on your truck, and your hitch is still free in case you want to transport your bikes while towing a trailer. When not in use, the Tail-Gator folds down to a nice compact size that you can keep in the bed of your truck or behind the passenger’s seat in the cab.
