Frame Adapters
Take the frustration out of mounting odd-shaped bike frames that don’t have a traditional top tube by using a frame adapter bar. Frame adapters quickly and easily modify non-standard frames to have a level top tube from which you can hang the bike on any trunk-mount bike racks or hanging-style hitch racks.
With a wide range of features, rear mounted bike racks for cars are wonderful and safe ways to transport your bicycles. Unfortunately, women’s bikes, children’s bikes, and other non-traditional frames don’t have a level top tube, so mounting them securely to a rear mounted bike rack is not possible. Frame adapter bars work by making a bridge that connects to the stem and the seat tube, thus creating a top tube for mounting non-standard bike frames in the cradles of rear-mounted bike racks. Featuring quick-release, vinyl-coated hangers or large molded collars, frame adapter bars are simple to add to your bike before mounting it on your car’s rack. Some models even include a spring-loaded telescoping function to quickly adjust to a wide range of frame sizes. If you have a bike with less than 15” between the stem and seat tube, then we have a frame adapter bar to fit that bike as well. With the ability to work on single and dual-mast mounts, our frame adapter bars provide a perfect fit for any bike, so you can easily mount it on your car’s rear mounted bike rack.
